As learning program manager, I oversee the day-to-day work of a small group of instructional designers managing a large ERP suite of systems for our “Everything as a Service” offering. I research, study, implement, and teach AI related information relevant to my team; from ChatGPT & CoPilot to video and image editing AI tools, to internally built tools. I use Smartsheets, Jira, Confluence, Storyline (with AI), Camtasia, Snagit, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and other tools to keep us on track, correctly reported, and working efficiently. We continually gather feedback in varieties of formats to improve our learning content and ensure we are meeting the needs of our learners.
My duties at Lenovo included CRP/ERP instructional design. From inception to BAU, I created a curriculum to help service providers navigate and effectively utilize an internally created system for service and warranty work. I used Storyline, Rise, PowerPoint, Camtasia, Snagit, and Adobe products to create eLearnings, Simulations, resources and quick reference cards. I also facilitated ILT sessions, and created facilitator guides to help with Train the Trainer events.
Merging my love of education with my love of curriculum design and computer technology. For the past two years, I have been learning software and freelancing. I created the website and training manuals for EZModel Software, a website for my community called Baggin Meals, and a course for teens about how to clean their kitchen. I also am working on a course about birds of Wake County, NC, and another course on freshwater fish tanks. Check out my projects for examples of my work.
From 2015-2018 we lived in Paris, France and then in London, England. I was highly involved in my children's schools, organizing large events, completing professional development Google Level 1 certification, and started Gupta Software and Design, L.L.C. While in England, I created the Halcyon International School's parent community website, and the school's internal app using Locly Native and beacon technology.
I taught elementary, or primary, school in Tampa, Florida and in Potters Bar, England, UK. during these years. During this time, I taught year one, third, fourth and fifth grades, science club and substitute/supply teacher.
During this time, I devoted my time to being a stay at home mother. I wrote 3 books, was awarded a patent and managed to go back to school, earning my bachelors in elementary education.
During these 4 years, I worked for large scale telecommunications companies. At Qwest Communications, I was responsible for installing, maintaining and testing new software that was due to go into the productions systems. I set expectations, managed changes, and handled customer requests. At Verizon Data Services I was responsible for installing, maintaining and testing new software before it was to be added into production. Before I was moved into testing, I was responsible for maintaining the production systems, installing changes, and handling customers.
During my years in the United States Air Force, I worked at Ramstein AFB in Germany, and at Dover AFB in Delaware in the US. I worked on computer systems such as GCCS (Global command and control system) and helped to instruct new service members on the system. I wrote the instruction manual for several systems while there. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining internal websites.
I enjoy using Storyline 360 for all it's functionality. The ability to add in an LRS with xAPI's to track learner data is of particular fun for me, as it allows me to bring in some of my basic programming skills.
I use Photoshop and Acrobat Pro all the time. I also use Premier Pro, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, In Design, Animate, and Character Animator some of the time. I have access to Creative Cloud and like to play with Adobe's amazing products.
I like Docebo and Content Controller, but I have worked in Saba/Cornerstone as well. I have also adapted learning to websites, SharePoint, and internal company pages.
Vyond, Toonly, Animaker, and PowToon Blender, Adobe Animate, Unity
My go to is Camtasia, but I also use OBS and ScreenCastify software
Adobe Premier Pro and Apple's iMovie,
Photoshop, Canva, Synthesia, Hippo Video, Descript
Microsoft Office, Google's office suite are everyday uses. I often storyboard in PowerPoint or in Google Slides.
Not an expert, but I dabble in Unity, both 2d and 3d. I have basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, Java & json. I have created apps for schools in Locly Native using beacon technology, and have played with React in Hype.
