I’ve been playing around with the We Are Learning platform and I have to say, for the most part, I like what I’m seeing. I can see a use case for this in course work. I absolutely love the node based editing, and the ability to refine the actions, gestures and expressions of the 3d models. I hope that in the future they add in a few more animations, such as walking and running, as I’d love for a model to be able to walk onto a scene or leave one.
I’d also love to see some improvements such as the ability to find the absolute position of any media objects or movable objects on the pane, the ability to keep media static (no exit animations at end of scene) and some more robust abilities on the Open Response items. These are really neat to play with, but it’s way too easy to fool the AI and it doesn’t seem to catch the “no match mode” when it should. All in all though, this certainly has promise and I’m excited to keep playing with it.
