The Flowers of Georgia O’Keeffe

This simple collage featuring some of the amazing flower paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe was done for ELHC #322

This interaction is quite simple, featuring layers and state changes, but not much else. The featured image, which sets the tone, makes a graceful exit after a few seconds.

This image was chosen not because it has a lot of flowers on it (because it doesn’t) but simply because I love it.
Here a small collage of some of the more famous paintings that Georgia O’Keeffe has done with particular regard to flowers.
Simply selecting the painting brings up a layer with some information about the flower. The image on the left changes state to show the painting in greater detail.
The colors are coordinated between each of the two boxes. All x’s close the layer.
Clicking the Meet Georgia button simply shows her image and gives a little background information on her. If I had more to say, a scrolling box would work well here.
Hover images show the year the painting was finished.
The visited image state changes the image to black and white when you have visited that image.
