E-Learning Challenge #313

This week’s challenge is all about the old ice breaker Two Truths and a Lie.

I thought it would be a great idea to create a game and to use this as the intended ice breaker that it was.

I also wanted to play with some of the inbuilt backgrounds that Storyline 360 provides.

As you can see, I chose a pretty blue marbly like texture, and included transparency for the middle pieces to make the text readable.

This next page is where the first learner writes in their two truth’s and a lie. While they can technically add in however many truths and lies as they want, we hope they will follow the directions. I wanted the ability to have the variability on the next page.

On this page, once users have swapped devices with another person, person 1’s statements show up here, and person 2 can choose whether they think the statement is true or false. Once the hit reveal, it will tell person 2 what the real answer is.

This is a simple set of texts and variables, but for a quick challenge, it does the trick.

To make this more interesting, I think I will try to alert the user if they chose the right statement with a “your correct” or “your incorrect” and some formulas to determine those. Stay tuned.
